Program of The Second Pan-European Festival Marathon

Starts in Vladivostok on May, 24, 2015 (Sunday), on the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture.

On May, 25, on the Russkiy island an international round table was held, which was devoted to the interaction between cultures of the East and the West, and Russian cultural space in it. There were also opening of children drawing exhibition and concert on the main square of Vladivostok city.

On May, 26 the Marathon arrived to Moscow where its main events – including Marathon presentation to the Diplomatic Corps and international community – was on May 27 (Wednesday).

On May, 28 – Germany, Hamburg, Marathon as an event of the cross Year of Russian and German Literature. Main events of the Marathon were held on May, 29 (Friday), in Hamburg City Hall and in one of the local theatres. Opening of the exhibition of the literature-based children drawing, concert program.

On May, 29-30 (Saturday-Sunday), presentation the project of the Marathon in Russian pavilion on the international exhibition EXPO-2015 in Milan.

On June, 1, 2 (Monday-Tuesday) – the Marathon reached a geographical border of Europe – the Atlantic ocean in the city of Porto, Portugal. With opening of the exhibition of children drawing from Russian regions and concert program.

June, 3 – arrival to Paris.

June, 4 (Thursday) – protocol events, devoted to the 70th Anniversary of Victory over fascism, international conference in UNESCO, opening of the exhibition of Russian fine arts masters and concert program in the Center for Russian Culture and Science.

June, 5-6 – arrival to Mons (Belgium), Cultural Capital of the EU-2015. Marathon events were conducted in the city of Mons in the open air.

June, 8-9 (Monday-Tuesday) – Perm city (close to the geographical border between Europe and Asia). Global internet-conference “Russian language in the dialogue of cultures” devoted to the Year of Russian Literature.
